Bullying and Harrassment

The District does not tolerate acts of bullying and harassment on any prohibited basis, including acts of harassment based on disability, race and gender. The District has recently adopted revised bullying and harassment policies, which are available at www.stocktonschools.com. Any person who believes he or she has been subjected to harassment or a hostile environment should report the harassment or hostile environment to the District and the District will conduct a prompt and thorough investigation into the complaint. Persons who are found to have engaged in acts of harassment or other acts that create a hostile environment will be promptly disciplined in a manner consistent with the District’s anti-harassment and bullying policies and the student code of conduct. Bullying and harassment are best prevented by students, parents and District staff working together to identify and respond to such acts.

About SHS

Stockton High School houses grades nine through twelve. There are approximately sixteen full time staff members providing instructional services. Along with traditional classroom instruction, the high school also offers dual credit courses on the Stockton High School campus taught by staff members from Highland Community College, online virtual clases, and independent study opportunities. The high school continues to achieve excellence in the areas of academics, activities, and athletics. Achievements in the past year include two Illinois State Scholars in a graduating class of thirty eight students; First place finish by the choral and instrumental music department in the state music sweepstakes division D; girls basketball 2nd place finish in the state finals; and several individual participated in the state series in golf and girls' track.

The combination of strong instruction, excellent student motivation, and positive community support give Stockton students the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.
