Casey Downey
High School Principal
Casey Downey was a special education teacher for several years before becoming principal. She enjoys interacting with the students on several different platforms and seeing them succeed in the classroom and in extracurricular events.

Mrs. Downey graduated from Milledgeville High School in 2006 and Illinois State University in 2010. Her first teaching position was in Winnebago, Illinois where she taught 6th grade special education for two years and coached fresh-soph girls’ basketball. Mrs. Downey came to Stockton School District in 2012 in which she taught high school special education and assisted with girls’ basketball. Mrs. Downey earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2014 from Concordia University in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Downey began her administrative role on a part-time basis during the 2015-2016 school year while still teaching special education in the classroom. At the start of the 2016-2017 school year she transitioned into the full time principal role.

Mrs. Downey lives in Stockton with her husband, Sean and her children Brynley, Adalyn, and Bo. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and helping her husband with their dog training and kennel business, Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers.
